Sony has added some new features to their Micro Vault USB storage media product line. The first enhancement is called “Virtual Expander” which essentially compresses data which allows a user to fit more data onto a USB key than ever before. You can gain as much as three times as much space as a normal uncompressed Micro Vault. Nothing too special here – if your data is already compressed than the Virtual Expander will probably not offer any help.

A new offering in their product line is the Micro Vault Turbo. The Turbo moniker comes from the fact that the key allows a maximum throughput of 28MB/sec. Finally, the last new design is the Fingerprint Access Micro Vault which adds biometric security to your USB key.
