Nokia is launching a new product today called the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. This is a Debian Linux powered device that is meant to function similar to a 2nd or 3rd PC in a home. The device provides Internet connectivity via WiFi and Bluetooth support and allows users to check the web, read email, read RSS feeds, listen to Internet radio, and IM with others. An upgrade in the future may add VoIP features to the device. What’s truly cool is the relatively low price of the 770 – slated to be around $350.
