Samsung will begin offering flash memory based hard drives for laptops starting in August. The new drives are known as SSD drives or Solid State Disks. SSD’s use memory chips in place of the standard mechnical recording system used in standard hard drives today which means you’ll get faster performance but at a higher cost.
