Thanks to a recent Wall Street Journal article, the Intel and Apple rumors have started up again. The latest report involved the possibility that Apple would be using Intel processors for their Mac line of computers. Porting OS X to the x86 platform would not be difficult for Apple since there is already effort underway to make portions of OS X compatible to the x86 platform. The real difficulty will be convincing software vendors to port their software written for the PowerPC platform to the Intel platform.
