AMD Athlon 64 X2 to be introduced later this month
AMD is set to launch the first dual core version of the Athlon64 desktop processor at Taiwan’s Computex trade show on May 31st. Intel will ship their desktop processor dual core verson later this month also. Both AMD and Intel have shipped higher end versions of their dual core processors with Intel shipping the Pentium Extreme Edition 840 and AMD with their Opteron dual cores.
Why dual core? Because 2 is better than 1…
