Western Digital has announced two new external hard drives. The first one is called the NetCenter and will allow users to connect hard drives directly into their networks (similar to Ximeta drives). The second drive is called the Extreme Lighted Combo drives which offer a kaleidoscope LED light to the hard drive but minus the ethernet port found on the NetCenter.

The NetCenter will come in capacities of 160 – 320 GB while the Extreme will only come in 160 or 320 GB models. If you preorder either drive now, you’ll get a small discount off the going prices. The 320GB NetCenter will go for $399 while the 320 Extreme will go for $299.
