I4U has a short commentary about how the Sony PS3 will be the perfect reason to obtain a new HDTV that supports 1080p. Although it is true that the Sony PS3 will support 1080p televisions, it’s hard to see these newer televisions sets coming down in price anytime soon. With most of the US still barely getting up to speed with 1080i or 720p, it’s hard to imagine a great deal of content in 1080p format. If you have the big bucks in the coming year – sure, go get yourself a 1080p television set. I’m perfectly happy in the meantime with my 1080i system.
