TDK makes Hard Drive breakthrough
TDK has supposedly manufactured a hard drive head that is capable of writing between 150 to 200 gigabits of data per inch. This invention made use of perpendicular recording concepts that you’ve probably heard of recently from other companies. With this technology, it may someday be possible to pack 250GB of data on a single 3.5″ hard drive platter.
