The official specifications for the new Xbox 360 are now up on Microsoft’s website here. There are indeed three PowerPC cores in this box – each one running at 3.2 GHz. Each processor has something similar to HyperThreading whereby a processor can simultaneously run two threads at once. Heavily threaded applications should love the Xbox 360.
