Once upon a time, I was intrigued and actually excited about the Motorola MPx 220. This was supposed to be the next generation version of the MPx 200 (which I could not stand at all) using the Microsoft Windows Mobile OS and modeled in a clamshell design. Ultimately, I decided to go with the Audiovox SMT 5600 smartphone and haven’t looked back since. But in all fairness, I never did look into the MPx 220 all that much. Perhaps it was the distaste left in my mouth from the MPx200.. no matter – the geeks over at 3DAccelerated take a look at the phone and have this to say:
The addition of quad-band technology, better battery, more memory, better OS, and better design shows that Motorola learned from the mistakes of the 200 model. These features in conjunction with the fast OMAP 1611 processor ensure maximum performance when using the smartphone apps. On the down side, as usual the camera can be improved. Having owned Motorola camera phones in the past, I’ve learned not to expect much from Motorola in this area.
