Transmeta had a public demonstration of the fanless Media Center reference design specification at WinHEC yesterday. It appears that Transmeta is looking into other markets for their Efficieon processor and the Media Center market is one such market. The reference platform uses an Efficieon processor on a Mini-ITX motherboard coupled with an ATI graphics controller. The total package allows for quiet Media Center systems since the Efficieon is an efficient low power processor.
