Monday is launch day for Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 and for owners of 64 bit processors, the main question will be – “Will my hardware have 64 bit driver support?” The answer is an apparent “Maybe” as many devices will indeed have built in support (or at least support via a web download) but there will be many others who will not. In fact, some manufacturers such as Logitech, do not have any announced 64 bit driver support at all. So if you’re planning to upgrade to 64 bit Windows, do some research. Make sure your hardware is fully supported or at the very least that you’ll be able to download drivers at some point in the near future.
