DAPreview provides a preliminary look at the Monolith (innoPlus) i-With PMP-801. This PMP is a strangely designed device measuring in at 135mm x 90mm x 25mm. It also has a unique if not weird curved form factor which looks cool but is probably not all that practical. Check out the review for more info on it. What’s the verdict?

Basically, it’s huge and doesn’t do video recording – that’s going to tick off a lot of people for sure. The whole navigation scheme and annoying joystick aren’t helping much either.Looking beyond that, the 801 does what it’s supposed to do quite reasonably – playing back videos & music, showing pictures and offering an open-source like character for the more geeky dudes and dudettes out there.
