If you’re willing to shell out A LOT of cash for PC speakers, take a look at the NHT 00 Series. This 5.1 speaker system costs a cool $1750 (which would put a severe dent in my wallet!). The system is actually made up of five M-00 powered monitors and one S-00 powered subwoofer. ExtremeTech looks at this system here. The final verdict?
A pricey 5.1 speaker set that delivers very good performance at modest volume levels on delicate music material. But its lack of PC speaker ergonomics, and the trouble it had with louder volume levels on music and DVD movie audio make it a less than ideal choice.
