TrustedReviews looks at the new Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi which is the first Sonoma based laptop from Acer. The TravelMate 8104WLMi comes with a 15.4 ich screen and a nice 1680 x 1050 resolution – plenty of real estate space for most users out there. At the heart of this laptop is a beefy 2GHz Pentium M processor and 1Gb of 533MHz DDR2 memory. Not too shabby! But wait! there’s more! Acer includes the ATI Mobility Radeon X700 graphics chipset with a 128MB of RAM. This could definitely be a gamer’s dream! SOO.. what’s the verdict?
A well designed, very fast notebook with a great screen and tonnes of features – what more could you ask for? The Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi is an excellent machine and a complete bargain considering what you get. I’d be tempted to go for the slightly lower spec 8103WLMi and save some cash, but ultimately it looks like the TravelMate 8100 series is going to be a hard act to beat.
