Scouting out locations on the moon for a lunar base
Planetary scientists from Johns Hopkins University have found a spot on the moon that might be bathed in sunlight constantly which would provide an ideal location for a lunar base. Finding a location on the moon for the proposed lunar base is actually rather difficult given the harse environmental conditions of the moon. Having a base on the moon would serve as a training ground for further space explorations down the road.
