There’s a snapshot of what the new ad system looks like for TiVo users over at PVRBlog and man.. those ads are huge relative to the entire screen. This is resulting in complaints being raised by TiVo users all around. Want no ads? Get an MCE

D-Link DSM-320 Media Lounge
Media players are starting to pop up left and right. TrustedReviews takes a look at the D-Link DSM-320 Media Lounge which is a wireless media player connecting your media to other parts of your home. What’s the verdict? Seems a bit mixed to me. D-Link’s new firmware seems to fix some of the issues brought up in the article but wireless connectivity still causes hiccups for video playback. Check out the review at TrustedReviews.com

The iDog
No, Apple hasn’t gone overboard and released a new product. Rather, Sega Toy has released a small musical companion for people who listen to music. It’s not really a robot as much as it is a toy. It’ll respond to some user feedback and you can even connect your favorite MP3 player to the dog to see it respond. The built in speakers are rather lacking but you gotta admit, the dog is cute. Check out the review at Akihabara News.

Hilton’s offering new Alarm Clocks
I suppose it’s the little things that count sometimes. Hilton is replacing some 250,000 clocks in all their hotels with all new clocks. These clocks will have connection cables that visitors can use to connect their favorite MP3 player with allowing them to listen to their music through the clock radio. The clock also has some new features that will make them slightly easier to use. Woo hoo.

Logitech MX518 reviewed
EverythingUSB reviews the new Logitech MX518 which is the successor to the Logitech MX510. What’s the verdict? It’s a great mouse for the gamers out there with it’s increased resolution. It looks pretty cool too! It’s only got drivers for Windows XP unfortunately.. oh well.

Dell Latitude X1 really a Samsung Q30
The new Dell Latitude X1 ultra portable looks familiar doesn’t it? Well that’s because the unit is actually manufactured by Samsung and is sold under the Samsung Q30 brand name. Well.. it’s not exactly the same thing as the Q30 but it’s darn close enough. Dell added a few new features to it that the Q30 doesn’t have such as Bluetooth and a bigger hard drive. What I like about the laptop is the low weight (2.8lbs) and the screen (12.1 inch widescreen). Let’s hope that this Dell unit has been reliability than their other models.
