Reports are surfacing all around the internet about dead pixels on Sony PSP devices. News.com has an article on Sony’s response to the dead pixel problem. Sony suggests playing with the PSP for a week or two to see if it’s really something you can live with or not. If you can’t live with it, then Sony will service the unit, although they don’t specifically say that they will fix your display. Dead pixels is a common problem on LCDs and it’s no surprise that you’ll see them on your PSP. The problem with dead pixels is really one of annoyance. Once you see them, you can’t help but stare at them.
