Cingular is reportedly testing the SMT 5600 smartphone from UTStarcom. This phone uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 operating system and was initially sold by AT&T Wireless prior to the merger of Cingular and AT&T Wireless. The SMT 5600 was sold under the Audiovox brand and has been in high demand by many former AT&T Wireless customers – prompting Cingular to test out the device. Unfortunately the same won’t apply to the Ogo wireless messenging device which will not be offered by Cingular.
